1851 Model Navy .36 cal

1851 Model Navy Percussion Revolver made by the Metropolitan Arms Co of NYC, NY. When the Colt plant, in Hartford, CT, burned in February 1864, the Syms Brothers, formerly of Blunt and Syms, formed the Metropolitan Arms Co. to fill the gap left within the marketplace.
Produced from 1864-66, the Metropolitan Navy Revolver is almost an exact copy of the 1851 Colt Navy Revolver.   Standard 7 1/2" octagonal barrel in .36 Caliber with brass trigger-guard and back-strap.
The 1851 Model Navy Percussion Revolver, pictured here is ser. # 5100, all matching #'s.  Action works, but cylinder does not advance.  The cylinder still shows  some of standard roll scene of the Battle of New Orleans and marked as such April, 1862.
I would think this rare piece of Americana would rate in the fair (-), but would be a very nice display firearm.
it appears to never have been repaired, and in all original.
